Economic Development across the city is the key to Full Employment and the ability of the community to achieve the Quality of Life that Colorado Springs has come to enjoy.

I support efforts to rebuild the downtown area and the rest of the city. Our city is growing and we need to expand opportunity in every area of the city. Economic development across the entire city is a necessary effort. The city should pursue partnership development with businesses and industry across the entire city.
We need to increase our efforts to attract businesses to relocate to and expand in the City. Increased business expansion is the key to full employment, economic prosperity, and the increased tax revenues needed for the city to realize the other pressing needs. I believe that business incentives that rely on tax breaks and similar incentives are simply another means to reduce taxes which I fully support. The city should pursue a business friendly environment across the board.
The expansion of the airport west side and business park based on the Commercial Aeronautical Zone has been a tremendous success. More than 2,000 jobs have come to the airport and business park and more are on the way. The city has expanded its business recruitment effort and this is paying off. Empty hangars and now filled and leased with new hangars and facilities under construction. This has resulted in additional revenue to the airport which has reduced the costs to the airlines - this is resulting in
